Riding Out Hurricane Earl at White Point Vacation Home

Submitted by Kim on Monday, 6 September 2010No Comment

babsHaving a hurricane barrel right towards you can be dangerous but Hurricane Earl hit the South Shore of Nova Scotia with much less ferocity than anticipated and gave those brave enough to ride out the storm a great show.

Hurricane Earl didn’t clobber the coast rather doused it with warm wind and water. In fact dozens of people were seen wading in the warmest water experienced off the coast in years. This is not a safe thing to do but shows that Earl did not invoke the fear that Hurricane Juan did seven years ago. The folks staying at White Point Vacation Home walked right down to the beach and joined the onlookers,  saying it was “a sight and experience to remember.”
