Tony Thibault Re-Launches NovaScotiaVacations.ca
Within the past few years we’ve seen many new tourism sites come down the pike. Many of them are nicely laid out and are easy to navigate. Some have even jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and make regular Facebook entries.
Tony Thibault has been selling tours and tourism on the internet since 1995 with his signatory site “explore.ca.” By carefully building his sites and testing the waters he was definitely an innovator in internet tourism. Now he has launched his new-and-improved site NovaScotiaVacations.ca, the first in a series of travel sites that features a unique á la carte packages that are easy to buy and even easier to enjoy.
Unlike many sites, from the first glance Tony sticks with simplicity. The opening image is the view of the ocean from a sailing vessel with his trademark compass logo with the Nova Scotia emblem. This instantly puts the feel of Nova Scotia in the visitor as the eyes are lead to the business title:
NOVA SCOTIA VACATION PACKAGE SPECIALS 2009
Book Early & SAVE!
The thing I like about the banner is that, with a split second, the visitor has all the information he or she needs to continue on reading. Then below is the information what is spelled out in each tour package followed by three neat columns of packages – all in one screen shot.
The columns are divided into three great options so that the visitor does not have to sift through them:
- Ferry from Bar Harbor or Portland Maine
- Fly and Self-Drive With Hotels & Car Rental
- Escorted Motorcoach Package Tours
From his many years in the tourism business Tony has built lasting friendships with tour operators, accommodations owners and others who have worked with him to refine the products. So the quality is there.
It’s the easy way to get a tour. However, Tony also does custom tours as well so these aren’t the only options.
Rather than work with standard government tourism departments and other traditional operations Tony is always looking down the road to the next best option for his customers. His “overnight success” is just the beginning of his projects. There are many others on the horizon.
We all wish him well!
