White Point Bunnies: Just in Time for Easter

Submitted by Kim on Thursday, 12 March 2009No Comment

bunniesOne of the attractions that is unique to White Point Beach Resort is the multitude of bunnies that live on the grounds. Wild rabbits began populating the area when White Point staff and guests began feeding them. Then over the years people began giving bunnies to the resort and now the bunnies are a permanent fixture of the resort grounds.

A novel idea that sprang from this population is the availability of bunny food. Small bags of “bunny chow” are given out free at the front desk and guests are encouraged to fee their outside friends. As a result the recreation department has built a small and vital activity set around the rabbit theme.

The Resort has stolen another idea from the rabbits. If a staff member has really gone out of their way to help a guest enjoy the stay the guest is encouraged to fill out a ballot for the person. Each month, the Staff & Community Relations Committee of the Resort gets together to discuss the nominees and vote on a winner. The winner gets a load of prizes but more importantly, they get the recognition they deserve for a job well done: a photo of the winner sporting a pair of bunny ears!

I wonder if Hugh Heffner knows about this?
