ski trail, ski lessonsThe great thing about cross country skiing is that you don’t need that much vertical to have fun. In other words you don’t need a long or steep slope. However, if the opportunity presents itself the rush is still as great.

Nova Scotia is not known for high mountains yet it has three thriving ski areas and a burgeoning cross country recreational skiing community. In fact there are over 20 cross country ski areas in the province. Here is a breakdown as provided by the nice folks at CanadaTrails.
