White Point Golf Course

Submitted by Kim on Sunday, 9 March 2008No Comment

Golf pro Dave Kemshead welcomes you to the most picturesque golf course in eastern Canada. Since 1932 the golf course at White Point has challenged golfers of all levels from around the world. This spectacular 9-hole, Par 35, oceanside course was established shortly afterWhite Point Beach Resort opened, and continues to be an integral facility within our Oceanside Beach Resort Community. The course is a CPGA-rated nine hole course (6,200 yards from the blues, 5,860 from the whites and 5,438 from the reds).  Itis challenging for the avid golfer with small greens, narrow fairways and strong sea breezes. The recreational golfer will enjoy the quality of the course and the panoramic views that accompanies it.There are six par 4 holes (five for Ladies), two par three holes and one par 5 (two for Ladies). The CPGA rating is 67.0 and the slope rating is 115.

Only 7 miles away is the historic town of Liverpool. There are dozens of things to do and places to see in the seaside town of Liverpool. It is no surprise that many of these activities are intrinsically linked to the town’s rich cultural and historic past. Founded in 1759, Liverpool is known as the ‘Port of the Privateers’. The Privateers, during the American Revolution, were permitted to raid enemy ships from New England in the name of the crown. Today it is a great mixture of old and new, great shops and restaurants. For more cosmopolitan shopping, the town of Bridgewater, a 40 minute drive, features a large mall and name-brand restaurants.
