Nova Scotia Comes Alive in 2011!

There are few places that top Nova Scotia in the summer and fall seasons. Unlike the west coast of Canada Nova Scotia has more sunny days and better beaches. Not only that, you are never further than 40 miles from salt water no matter where you go in the province. Keep checking back to see updates on the state of travel in Nova Scotia and why this Canadian province is considered one of the finest destination spots in the world.

Kim’s Note: Michelle Sears is the facilitator for the mentoring system called d TourismTechnology.com, a mentorship program partnering with provincial and federal agencies to assist Nova Scotia tourism businesses gain technological skills to compete in the global market

TourismTechnology.com is a fantastic project and one that we have been
having a lot of fun with. I have met with many operators in Nova Scotia
- usually in their home or business – for 2-4 hour mentoring sessions.
By having one-on-one sessions we can focus on their tourism business and
work with them on their existing website or help create a plan for a
future one.

We have done research on web designers/developers in each
province so that we could have a list from what operators could have
options, as well as researching the various companies offering online
availability, booking and shopping cart capabilities. Operators are
busy running their businesses so this is something that will help them.
We are also a resource that they can talk to long after the mentoring
sessions if they require information and/or help.

Blogging is something we do talk about and it was one of my New Year’s
resolutions – to start a blog on TourismTechnology.com in Nova Scotia.
My blog can be found at www.tourismtechnologyns.blogspot.com.

Our main TourismTechnology.com website is currently down but should hopefully be
back up in the coming weeks and this along with lots of other
information will be available there.

Best regards,

Michelle
