TIANS
TIANS stands for the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia. It is a member-driven organization which works hand-in-hand with Tourism Nova Scotia to promote one the biggerst businesses in the province: tourism. The Nova Scotia Tourism Industry has more than 6500 direct businesses supporting almost 40,000 jobs. In addition, the suppliers to the industry, providing products to feed, house and entertain our travellers, contribute payroll and business taxes.
Here is their credo:TIANS promises to be a credible in?uential voice for all tourism operators with the ear of important decision makers. We improve the tourism business environment by listening to our members and ?ercely advocating for them with a passion for our industry and sincere concern for the well being of our members.
Members also gain access to many benefit programs that can help to reduce the operating costs of running a business, especially small operators who can use the “bulk buying” of the association for sources such as: insurance, phone, printing, transportation, labor recruitment, technology and many other benefits.
One of the biggest pluses with membership is meeting like-minded souls who can assist you in building your business. This also comes with marketing initiatives which can put your business in the sites of overseas operators.
Celebrating its 30th year, TIANS is a major force in Nova Scotia’s economy. White Point Beach resort has been a member since the association’s inception.
