White Point Beach Resort

Located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, halfway between Halifax and Yarmouth White Point Beach Resort has been welcoming guests for almost 80 years. They are a full service resort featuring indoor and outdoor recreation, fine dining, health spa, entertainment and activities for the whole family.

Built in 1928 as a hunting and fishing lodge, it sported a 9-hole golf course with spectacular views of the ocean.
There are many types of accommodations available. In the Main Lodge (the original inside rooms) there are 15 of the 159 rooms, each with its own patio door access to a private balcony. The Seaview & Lakeview Lodge rooms are a series of four lodges each containing six rooms. As with the main lodge each room has patio door access to a private balcony.

Another accommodation choice is the Ocean Lodge, or “Annex.” This located on the beach adjacent to the Main Lodge and it fits the bill for group gatherings. This lodge houses eight bedrooms which surround a large common living room. To add to the ambience there is a beach stone fireplace and sliding glass doors lead to a covered verandah.

On Doggett Lake, just a short wake away, is Lakeside Retreat, a series of four buildings, three with room accommodations only, and one building featuring conference facilities. Both are situated near the boathouse, where canoes, kayaks, surf boards, bicycles and wet suits are available for rent

The ocean cottages are equipped with either a wood-burning fireplace or a woodstove and a verandah for the ocean spray.

Golfing is still great at White Point and golf pro, Dave Kemshead, is as good as they get.
